Clamp-on drive for Auma GK25.2 valve gearboxes
A servo drive that clamps to the pipe and turns an existing 2,000 Nm Auma gearbox at its input, so a water plant can motorise its valves without replacing the gearboxes.
The hard part
Motorise 2,000 Nm gearboxes while leaving them in place, with a 180 Nm servo at the input.
What I built
Torque sizing, FEA on the clamp, gears and shaft, battery and control boxes, cable harness, BOM and machining drawings.
